'Neon Night'

An ode to the nights you maybe won't remember, but never forget. 

Some nights are too good to end early.

The music starts.
The lights begin to move.
Someone laughs.
Someone orders another drink.

And before you know it, the night has taken on a life of its own.

This painting captures that feeling.

The feeling of stepping onto the dance floor and forgetting what time it is. The feeling of freedom that comes when nobody is watching and nothing matters except the music, the movement and the moment.

At the center of the painting sits a sparkling disco ball, reflecting fragments of light in every direction. It is the heart of the party. Around it, color explodes across the canvas like energy released into the room.

The bright pinks, deep purples and electric blues pulse with movement. They feel like music you can almost hear. Like beats echoing through the floor beneath your feet.

Een ode aan nachten die je misschien niet meer helemaal herinnert, maar nooit meer vergeet.

Sommige nachten zijn te mooi om vroeg naar huis te gaan.

De muziek begint.
De lichten gaan aan.
Iemand bestelt nog een drankje.
Iemand begint te dansen.

En voor je het weet heeft de avond een eigen leven gekregen.

Dat gevoel vangt dit schilderij.

Het gevoel van de dansvloer opstappen en compleet vergeten hoe laat het is. Het gevoel van vrijheid dat ontstaat wanneer niemand kijkt en niets belangrijker is dan de muziek, de beweging en het moment.

Midden in het schilderij schittert een discobal die het licht alle kanten op kaatst. Het is het kloppende hart van het feest. Daaromheen ontploffen kleuren over het doek alsof pure energie vrijkomt.

De felle roze tinten, diepe paarstinten en elektrische blauwen bruisen van beweging. Ze voelen als muziek die je bijna kunt horen. Als beats die door de vloer onder je voeten dreunen.

De figuur lijkt te zweven tussen dansen en vliegen.
